Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie surprises many as he opens up on why he believes in Jesus Christ despite his well-known affinity for Igbo culture and tradition.
The actor made the remarks during an interview with media personality Isbae U, who questioned him about his Christian faith and asked why he did not worship traditional deities such as Amadioha.
Isbae U asked Edochie if he believed in Jesus and subsequently pointed out that the actor was deeply rooted in tradition, asking why he did not believe in other gods associated with Igbo traditional religion.
In response, Edochie said he recognised the existence of the traditional deities but maintained that his belief was firmly placed in Jesus.
Explaining his position, the veteran actor pointed to what he described as Jesus’ ability to walk on water, arguing that this was enough reason for him to choose Jesus over the traditional deities.

“I recognize all those other gods, but I believe in Jesus. Jesus walked on water, why should I leave the One who walked on water and believe those other ones who didn’t?”
