The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has announced a new date for her burial following the postponement of her funeral earlier scheduled for August.

Recall that the actress was initially expected to be laid to rest in August, but the family later announced that the burial had been postponed indefinitely.

At the time, they appealed to the public for understanding and promised to officially communicate the new date and venue.

In a fresh social media announcement, the family revealed that Temitope Osoba’s remains would leave Osuth Sagamu at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Her burial service is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Market, Iperu, Remo, Ogun State. The interment will follow immediately at Iperu Remo Cemetery.

The family also announced a strict white dress code for the funeral.

The development comes about a month after the news of the actress’ death was announced on August 5.

On August 11, a candlelight procession and night of tribute were held in her honour at LTV 8, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event, however, recorded a relatively low turnout of Nollywood stars, with only a few notable actors, including Toyosi Adesanya, Jigan Babaoja, Alesh Sanni and Foluke Daramola, spotted in attendance.

The absence of several prominent Yoruba movie stars was also noticed at the event, sparking reactions among fans and colleagues of the late actress.
