A video capturing an extraordinary and widely debated scene has surfaced online, showing a large crowd gathered around a casket in Nigeria, where a deceased man is said to have pointed out the person allegedly responsible for his death.
According to a close friend of the deceased, the community had been thrown into mourning following his sudden death, but what followed left many present both stunned and, in his words, strangely relieved.
“Tragedy befell us recently, but my greatest joy was seeing my late friend point out who killed him,” the friend shared, describing the moment as one the community will not soon forget.
The practice, often associated with certain traditional beliefs found in parts of Africa, involves the belief that the deceased can, under specific rites, signal or identify the individual believed to be behind their death.
In the video, dozens of people can be seen gathered outside a house, watching intently as the ritual played out before them.
Interestingly, the person allegedly identified as responsible for the death was reportedly absent from the gathering and does not appear anywhere in the footage, leaving many of those present visibly shocked and unable to immediately confront the accusation.
The video has since sparked heated discussion online, with reactions ranging from firm belief in the tradition to skepticism from viewers questioning the scientific basis of such claims.
As with many such videos, the identity of the accused and the full circumstances surrounding the death remain unconfirmed.
