“My flight was cancelled…” – Woman recounts painful betrayal after finding husband in bed with childhood friend

A Nigerian woman has recounted how she allegedly caught her husband in bed with her childhood friend after a cancelled flight unexpectedly brought her back home.

Speaking about her experience in a video shared on TikTok, the woman said she was legally married and living with her husband in Abuja when her childhood friend came to the city and asked to stay with them.

“She begged me to accommodate her in my apartment. Even my ex-husband was like, ‘No, don’t accept her.’ I never knew he saw something before then. I was like, ‘Let me just accept her. You don’t know who might help you tomorrow,’” she said.

The woman, who works as a nurse, said she usually went to work while her friend stayed at home with her husband. According to her, the two gradually became close and eventually had an affair.

She recalled that she later planned to travel to Imo State to visit her father. However, after arriving at the airport, her flight was cancelled because of the rain. She then booked a Bolt ride home, unaware of what she was about to discover.

“My husband should have been the one to pick me up, but his number wasn’t going through. That was how I caught them red-handed together on the bed. They didn’t even close the door,” she added.

Her revelation has generated reactions online, with many sympathising with her over the alleged betrayal by two people she trusted.

The woman said the incident eventually ended her marriage and left her raising her children as a single mother, describing the experience as a painful betrayal by both her husband and close friend.
