A Nigerian lady has gone viral after sharing the heartbreaking outcome of borrowing her ex-boyfriend 5 million naira.
In an X post, the lady revealed that initially, she saved the money to start a business.

However, her ex-boyfriend requested financial support from her to contest a political post, but ended their relationship after winning.
Meanwhile, in April 2026, she opened a shop without any support from her ex-boyfriend.
Although her friend reached out to him on her behalf for business support, he transfered 100,000 Naira.
Reflecting on what she learned from the ordeal, she stated, “No matter how close someone is to me, I will never touch my savings for them again. If they need help, I’ll look for other ways to help without touching what I’ve saved. After all, nobody even knows I have savings”.
