Davido washes hands off politics after uncle’s re-election

Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced his decision to distance himself from Nigerian politics following the re-election of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, as the Governor of Osun State.
He made this known while reacting to a post about the election made by the APC youth leader, Dayo Israel.
Replying to the post, Davido took to X after the election to state that he stood by his family throughout the political contest without bringing anyone to defend or support him.
The singer, who had been vocal about the election and his support for his uncle, expressed frustration with the backlash he received during the process.
He accused his critics of being ruthless and disgusting, while maintaining that he had done his part.
“I brought no one! No one defended me! I backed my family on my own!! You guys r ruthless n disgusting! Eeewwww! I have done my job! Nigerian politics is evil AND I DONT WANT TO BE A PART OF IT TILL GOD HELPS US!”
