Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan honoured in marketing, communications

Director, Commercial and Communications at News Central TV, Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, has been recognised among the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications at the 12th edition of the Women in Marketing and Communications Awards.

The WIMCA 2026 awards, themed, “Give. Grow. Glow,” were held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event attracted professionals, industry executives, brands and stakeholders across Nigeria’s marketing, advertising, media and communications sectors.

The Top 50 Most Influential Women recognition honours women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, professional excellence and measurable impact in Nigeria’s marketing and communications industry.

Egabor-Afolahan was recognised for her contributions to marketing, communications, media and business development, as well as her role in strengthening News Central TV’s communications, commercial visibility and brand positioning.

In her capacity as Director, Commercial and Communications, she has contributed to initiatives aimed at expanding the station’s engagement with audiences, partners and other stakeholders.

Her career spans strategic communications, marketing, media and business development, with her work contributing to the station’s positioning as a media organisation focused on journalism, community engagement and audience-centred storytelling.

The recognition also highlights the growing role of women in Nigeria’s marketing and communications industry and their contributions to innovation, leadership and strategic development.
