Surveillance footage has captured the terrifying moment a gang of armed robbers stormed a residential home in broad daylight, opening fire before making away with valuables belonging to the occupants.
The CCTV recording shows three masked men, all wielding AK-47 rifles, moving through the compound with unsettling calm, as though the daylight hour posed no deterrent to their plans.
One of them can be seen raising his weapon and firing during the operation, while the others appear focused on searching the property and seizing items of value.
Despite covering their faces, the robbers seemed entirely unaware that their every move was being recorded by the home’s security cameras, footage that has since become the clearest evidence available of how the attack unfolded from start to finish.
The boldness of the robbery, carried out in daylight rather than under the usual cover of night, has raised fresh alarm among residents in the area, many of whom are now questioning the adequacy of security in their neighbourhood.
The Ghana Police Service are expected to rely heavily on the CCTV footage in tracking down the culprits, whose identities remain unknown despite the clarity of the recording.
