“I really regret…” — Lady breaks down after discovering her ex is getting married

A lady has sparked widespread reactions on social media after sharing an emotional video in which she admitted regretting her decision to end a relationship with a man she described as kind and supportive.

In the viral video, the visibly emotional lady revealed that she had been crying since morning after discovering that her former boyfriend, whom she left in 2018, is set to marry another woman.

Says she believed she would find someone better

According to her, she ended the relationship because she believed her then-boyfriend was not doing enough and thought she would eventually meet someone she considered better.

Explaining her decision, she said the man had genuinely loved her and had always tried his best during their relationship.

“I left somebody that was trying. He was trying. He was really a good person. I left him because I thought I would see somebody better. I felt like he was not doing enough.”

She disclosed that she contacted him again a few months ago to apologise for how she treated him.

Ex-boyfriend forgave her but had moved on

The woman said her former partner told her he held no grudges despite the heartbreak she caused him.

However, she later found out that he was already in a new relationship and was preparing for his wedding.

“He said he didn’t hold any grudges against me. He said I broke his heart. I treated him badly. I told him I was sorry. It was then I realised that he was already in a relationship. And guys, guess what? He’s getting married.”

Although saddened by the news, she wished him and his fiancée a happy future together.

‘I really regret my action’

Reflecting on her past decision, the woman admitted she now regrets ending the relationship and believes she acted too quickly.

She described her former boyfriend as the only man who had treated her well and acknowledged that she could have been the one marrying him if she had remained patient.

“The only good man that I’ve met in my entire life that treated me right is getting married to somebody else.

“I’m happy for them. He’s a good person. He deserves all the good things of life.”

She added that she still struggles with mixed emotions over the development.

“I don’t know how to feel. I would have been the bride. He loved me. He really did. He tried.”

Ending her emotional message, she encouraged others to avoid making hasty decisions in relationships based on unrealistic expectations.

“I really, really regret my action. I’m not going to lie. I wish I had calmed down. But then, it is what it is.”
