CJTF Bayelsa Reaffirms Commitment to Protecting Lives, Critical Infrastructure

The Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), Bayelsa State Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives, property, and critical national infrastructure across the state.

Speaking in a press statement, the Commander of the CJTF Bayelsa State Command, Womotimi Gabriel Apaingolo, said the Command remains resolute in supporting efforts to maintain peace and security throughout Bayelsa.

Apaingolo condemned acts of vandalism and sabotage targeting public facilities, describing them as threats to development and economic progress. He warned that the Command would not tolerate the destruction of government property and critical infrastructure, stressing that protecting national assets remains one of its core responsibilities.

The CJTF Commander also commended the Bayelsa State Governor and Chief Security Officer of the state, Senator Douye Diri, for his continued support to security agencies and personnel. He described the governor as a leader whose commitment to security has strengthened efforts to keep the state peaceful and secure.

According to Apaingolo, the CJTF is ready to continue working closely with the Prosperity Administration to ensure Bayelsa remains a safe and peaceful environment for residents, investors, and visitors.

He further called on members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or activities around their communities, government facilities, and critical infrastructure to relevant security agencies.

The Commander reaffirmed the CJTF Bayelsa State Command’s commitment to collaborating with the government and other stakeholders to sustain peace, protect public assets, and enhance security across the state.
