Rabiu Kwankwaso Reacts As NDC Says Any Elected Member Who Wants To Defect Will Forfeit The Seat
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed support for the party’s newly introduced anti-defection policy aimed at strengthening party discipline among elected officials.
The development was disclosed by Theo Abu Agada, spokesperson of the NDC, in a post shared on his official X account on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The policy stipulates that any elected officeholder who abandons the party for another political platform will automatically lose the seat secured through the NDC.
