EPL: Arteta becomes highest-paid manager with new Arsenal contract

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has now become the highest-paid manager in the Premier League.

This follows the confirmation of his new contract with the Gunners on Wednesday.

It is reward for Arteta bringing the league title back to the Emirates after 22 years.

The contract will run until 2030 and will be bonus related.

According to the UK Mirror, success could push Arteta towards the £20 million-a-year mark.

Nottingham Forest manager, Oliver Glasner, takes home around £14m after add-ons.

Arteta is also the longest-serving coach in the English topflight.
