BREAKING: Security forces rescue 20 abducted corps members, civilian in Imo

Twenty prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and a civilian abducted in Imo State have been rescued by security agencies.

The victims were freed during an intelligence-led operation involving the military, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.

The 21 victims were reportedly travelling through the state when they were abducted, prompting security operatives to launch a coordinated operation to locate their whereabouts and secure their release.

The operation eventually led to the successful rescue of the 20 prospective corps members and the civilian.

Further details on the circumstances of the abduction and rescue operation were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.
