“You don’t just build a man you like” — Lady makes shocking revelation

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her views on relationships, love languages and the qualities she believes women should bring to a relationship.

The lady made the comments during a street interview while discussing what it takes to build a relationship with a man she likes.

She explained that building someone takes time and should not be rushed.

It’s usually very hard to build a guy that you like, so it will take time. You don’t just build someone that you like.”

When asked what she brings to the table for her partner to respect her, she said her contributions go beyond finances.

She listed respect, peace, love and carrying out her responsibilities as a woman among the things she brings to the relationship.

What do I bring to the table? Other than finances, respect, peace, love. You know, just doing my duty as a lady, basically.”

Lady explains her love language

The woman also revealed that acts of service are her preferred love language.

She explained that she naturally expresses love through acts of service and also appreciates receiving the same from her partner.

Act of service. Act of service. Yeah, that’s the kind of person I am. So that’s the language I speak. That’s the language I like as well.”

According to her, acts of service can encompass other expressions of love, including attention, physical touch and thoughtful gifts.

She said thoughtfulness plays an important role in making a partner feel loved and valued.

Acts of service, to me, encompasses everything. With acts of service, there is some attention, physical touch, the whole gifting and the whole—every act of service is just a form of thoughtfulness.”

She added that when someone is thoughtful towards their partner, other expressions of affection can naturally follow.

When someone is thoughtful of you, every other thing follows. So that’s just it.”

She admits jumping to conclusions

The lady was also asked about the most common mistake women make in relationships.

She identified assumptions and jumping to conclusions as major issues, while admitting that she sometimes makes the same mistake herself.

Jumping into conclusion, assumption. So yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know about others, but I do jump into conclusion a lot.”

She reiterated that making assumptions about situations without seeking proper clarification can create problems in relationships.

Jumping into conclusion. Yeah, just assumptions of things.”
