“Which husband is coming again…?” – Man recounts how pastor’s prophecy allegedly ruined his marriage

A Nigerian man has opened up about how a pastor’s alleged prophecy contributed to the collapse of his marriage.
In a video shared on TikTok by a user named celebrity_dickoflagos1, he explained that he had already paid his wife’s bride price, conducted a church wedding before the pastor told her that her husband was coming.
According to him, the revelation left him confused because he believed they were already fully married and had committed to spending their lives together.
In his words, he recounted:
“The woman I got married to from Imo State, pastor told her, ‘Your husband is coming on the way.’ I already paid her dowry, did church wedding and married her legally. Which husband is coming on the way again?
That was a deceit. Na wetin break my marriage be that. She left me after we got married and it totally broke me.”
The man expressed disappointment over the pastor’s alleged role in the situation, questioning why a religious leader would make such a declaration to a married woman.
He further cautioned pastors against giving prophecies they are not certain about, particularly when such claims could affect people’s relationships and families.
“As a pastor, if you know God didn’t call you, don’t deceive people and ruin their homes,” he added.
The man’s account has drawn attention to the influence religious declarations can have on relationships, particularly when couples make major decisions based on alleged prophecies.
While some users sympathised with the man over the alleged impact of the pastor’s prophecy on his marriage, others questioned the circumstances surrounding the couple’s decision to separate.

@celebrity_dickoflagos1 He said his marriage ended after a pastor told his wife that he had legally married that her husband is coming on the way💔, she eventually left the marriage. Can a pastors advice really destroy a marriage, Or should couples never allow outsiders between them ?👀 Should pastors even have this much influence over people’s marriages or should this man blame his wife for allowing it ? #publicinterview #marriagetalk #relationshipissues #pastors #fypシ゚viral🖤tiktok ♬ Glass Still Waters – Dusty Trail
