SIS drives creativity with UrbanStreetFashion Fiesta

The UrbanStreetFashion Fiesta has continued to provide a platform for fashion, entertainment and creative expression following the successful hosting of its third edition in Akoka, Lagos.

The annual event is an initiative of the Creative Director of SenamImage Signatures, a media and photography company based in Akoka, Lagos, Senami Ezekiel.

The project was created to drive brand publicity and visibility, promote corporate social responsibility, and provide an avenue for collaboration and partnerships across the fashion, entertainment and wider creative industries.

Now in its third edition, the fiesta has evolved into a platform where fashion brands, models, artistes and other creatives can showcase their talents, connect with new audiences and explore opportunities for growth and collaboration.

The 2026 edition was supported by Passion Fort Limited, Q4 International, SenamImage Signatures and SDelbira Company, with Zuch Collections, Project Kici and TI Model Agency coming on board as partners.

Prime Time Africa and Temmyteemedia, among others, provided media support for the event, while participating fashion brands included Hypno Clothing, Dr Suit Lagos, Jeks Clothing and Layet Signatures.

SenamImage Creative Director, Senami Ezekiel, said one of the major improvements recorded at this year’s edition was the trade fair and exhibition experience.

“Compared with previous editions, this year’s fiesta provided a better-organised and more suitable trade fair space, giving exhibitors improved options to display their products, engage attendees and promote their brands. This created a more professional environment for the fashion presentations,” she said.

Project Manager of UrbanStreetFashion, Ayobami Adelawal, said the initiative, which is managed by SenamImage Signatures, was conceived to give young talents in the community access to opportunities they might otherwise not have.

“We see it as a place where we can recognise emerging talent in our environment and community and onboard new talent to other global media,” she said.

Adelawal said the platform currently works with 13 emerging artistes, one of whom she disclosed was set to be signed by YBNL, in addition to several models and fashion brands that have benefited from the initiative.

“Some of our models are undergraduate students who started this career but do not have a platform for it. They want a platform where they do not really have to pay through their nose, because a lot of these agencies are expensive and some of them even get manipulated,” she said.

She added that the fiesta also provides an avenue for small and medium-sized enterprises to connect with the grassroots community and reach potential customers.

The organisers said they were seeking stronger partnerships with more fashion and creative brands, media organisations and corporate bodies as they work to expand the initiative beyond its third edition.
