2027: Tinubu support groups begin grassroots mobilisation

Two support groups for President Bola Tinubu, the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals and Tinubu Torch Bearers, have opened discussions on a strategic partnership to deepen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The groups, in a statement released on Saturday, said the proposed collaboration would focus on mobilising youths, women and Nigerians generally in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The development followed a visit by officials of the Tinubu Torch Bearers to the REHACMA office in Abuja on Thursday, where both organisations explored areas of mutual interest and possible collaboration on programmes, events and grassroots engagements.
Receiving the delegation, the Founder and National Coordinator of REHACMA, Rt. Hon. Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to work with groups and individuals that share its vision.
“REHACMA is always willing to partner with sister organisations and individuals who share our vision,” Uwagboe said.
“We commend the leadership of Dr. Mary Alile Idele for her doggedness and inclusive politics,” he added.
Uwagboe, who also commended Tinubu’s policies targeted at young people, stressed the need for sustained sensitisation and wider public engagement.
“President Tinubu’s youth-focused policies deserve sustained sensitisation and wider public engagement,” he said.
He also praised Dr Mary Alile Idele, the APC National Women Leader and Convener of TTB, for what he described as her commitment to inclusive politics.
Responding, the Director of Administration of TTB, Olivia Lonngren, expressed the organisation’s readiness to collaborate with REHACMA.
Lonngren commended the leadership of REHACMA, its organisational drive and growing impact, expressing optimism that the proposed partnership would strengthen engagement with youths, women and Nigerians generally.
She said the proposed collaboration would create a stronger platform for sensitisation programmes and grassroots activities.
Both organisations agreed to continue consultations towards finalising the modalities and framework for the proposed partnership.
The proposed areas of collaboration include joint events, advocacy initiatives, sensitisation programmes and other grassroots activities.
The groups are among organisations mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
