WAFU B Women’s Champions League: Boboye to lead Edo Queens to Burkina Faso

Kennedy Boboye is set to lead Nigeria Women’s League champions, Edo Queens to the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League in Burkina Faso.

Boboye is the technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Bendel Insurance.

The former Nigeria international will take charge of the Edo Queens on an interim basis.

Boboye will stand in for the club’s substantive head coach, Moses Aduku, who is currently away on national duty with the U-20 Women’s team.

He is expected to bring his knowledge and top-level coaching experience to the Edo Queens as they begin their quest for continental glory.

Edo Queens have been drawn in Group B alongside ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire, Ampem Darkoa FC of Ghana and AS Garde Nationale du Niger.

The winner of the competition will secure qualification for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League competition later in the year.
