Tears won’t stop falling, Fuji icon Pasuma mourns Ogogo

Fuji music icon Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, has expressed deep grief over the passing of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, describing his death as a loss to the Nigerian film industry.
Writing on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, the music star shared a tribute describing the news as a nightmare and praying for the repose of the late actor’s soul.
“My heart is completely broken; writing this feels like a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” Pasuma wrote.
“My dear brother, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, you fought so hard, but Allah loves you more. Yoruba cinema will never be the same without your towering presence and beautiful soul; the tears won’t stop falling, but I find comfort knowing you are resting in perfect peace.”
Offering prayers for the family left behind, the musician added, “May Almighty Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus and wrap your beautiful family in His comfort. Sun re o, egbon mi.”
The emotional tribute adds to a nationwide outpouring of grief following the death and burial of the iconic actor, who passed away after a battle with stage-four cancer.
President Bola Tinubu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and numerous state dignitaries joined the creative community in paying tributes to Ogogo, extolling his decades of dedication to Nigerian arts and culture before he was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
