The Lagos State High Court has granted singer Rollex Dee bail after spending about two months in police detention.

The singer was granted N100 million bail on Friday, August 21, 2026.

According to an update by MC Bokujaka, who has been leading the ‘Free Rollex Dee’ campaign online, the court requires two sureties of N50 million each.

While noting that the court stated that one of the sureties must be Rollex’s family member, MC Bokujaka said the condition makes the process of perfecting the bail challenging.

The singer was granted bail following the intervention of human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.

DAILY POST reports that Sowore’s intervention came amid public outcry over what was described as illegal detention on social media.

Recall that Rollex Dee was first arrested in April 2026 for allegedly defaming and cyberbullying an Ibadan-based musician, Taye Currency, during his interview on the Agbaletu programme.

He was later released and re-arrested in the first week of July after allegedly being lured with a reconciliation meeting by the Oyo State Police Command.

DAILY POST reports that Rollex was one of Taye Currency’s loyalists who took sides with him during his clash with Pasuma.

After their fallout, Rollex exposed alleged secrets about Taye, which led to his arrest.
