NCPC felicitates Sultan Of Sokoto On 70th birthday

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 70th birthday….

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 70th birthday.

 

The Executive Secretary of the commission, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, in a congratulatory message on behalf of the Board, Management and staff, described the milestone as a platinum jubilee worthy of celebration and thanksgiving to God.

Adegbite said the Sultan had devoted his life to the service of humanity and nation-building, while promoting peace, unity, stability and development in Nigeria.

He commended the Sultan’s role as Co-Chairman of the Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), describing him as a bridge-builder and advocate of interfaith harmony and tolerance.

 

The NCPC boss also described the Sultan as a detribalised Nigerian and global advocate of peace who had consistently promoted national unity and love for the country.

“As you join the league of septuagenarians, it is our prayer that the Good Lord will continue to uphold you and grant you the grace of longevity in good health of mind and body to serve your people and the nation even more,” Adegbite said.

He further commended the Sultan for his commitment to Nigeria’s stability and unity, wishing him many more years of impactful service to the nation
