A hair vendor has advised women not to allow societal pressure or the fear of being left behind to influence their decision to get married.
In a video shared on social media, she cautioned that many of the people who pressure women into marriage are often absent when marital challenges arise.
According to her, those who encourage women to marry rarely provide support when the reality of marriage becomes difficult.
In the video’s caption, she revealed that she once told a friend she got married simply because many of her friends were getting married and she did not want to feel left out.
Reflecting on the consequences of that decision, she disclosed that she endured 11 years of suffering in the marriage.
Her story has since sparked conversations online, with many social media users sharing their views on the importance of marrying for the right reasons rather than yielding to societal expectations.
