I won’t apologise to Okpebholo for publishing his WAEC result – Davido

Afrobeats superstar Davido has said he has no intention of apologising to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo for sharing the governor’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result online.

Davido made the statement on Tuesday during an interview with News Central Television.

The singer had earlier criticised Okpebholo after the Edo governor made comments mocking Davido’s uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, over his habit of dancing at public events.

In response, Davido shared what he described as Okpebholo’s WASSCE result on his Instagram Story. The post was widely viewed on social media as the singer’s response to the governor’s remarks.

Asked during the interview whether he would apologise to the Edo governor, Davido said he would not, explaining that he shared the result to allow residents of the state to see the person governing them.

“I am not going to apologize to Monday Okpebholo. I posted his WAEC results for the people of Edo State to see who is governing them.

The road to your Government House is not constructed. We will visit him when it is time for his re-election,” Davido said.
