The airline said the suspect was using the phone number 08082894680, pretending to be an Air Peace customer service representative and tricking unsuspecting passengers into paying for flight bookings.
In a scam alert issued by its spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, the airline disclosed that the fraudster had been changing the bank accounts used to collect money from victims.

Air Peace warned that the suspect’s use of its name was unauthorised and advised passengers to exercise caution when booking flights or making payments.
The airline stated that it does not collect payments through personal or third-party bank accounts, noting that passengers should only pay through its official booking and payment channels.

According to Air Peace, all legitimate bookings and payments should be made through its official website, mobile app, accredited travel agents and sales offices in cities and airport terminals.
It urged passengers to be wary of anyone claiming to be part of its customer service team, especially those demanding payments on WhatsApp or directing them to unfamiliar bank accounts.
“Anyone who comes across suspicious transactions or impersonation attempts should report immediately through our official customer service channels.
