Shettima made the remarks on Wednesday while speaking at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
He argued that Nigeria could not adopt economic policies and development models from other countries without considering its population, economic structure, institutions and national circumstances.

“What succeeds in Bangladesh cannot simply be transplanted to Nigeria without accounting for the differences in our populations, economic structures, institutions and national circumstances.
“A country of over 250 million people cannot be governed through borrowed statistics and economic prescriptions detached from its peculiarities.

“I respect Peter Obi, but he has gone beyond his mastery of philosophy to make bogus claims about winning the 2023 presidential election without adducing a shred of evidence to boot racist assertion. This is called delusion of grand war,” he said.
