TECNO won 2 Global Product Technology Innovation Awards at IFA 2026
TECNO won two Global Product Technology Innovation Awards at IFA 2026 for its most recent hardware innovations, the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS (MEGA MINI G1 Pro) and the TECNO Modular Phone.
The Global Product Technology Innovation Awards, which were founded in 2014 by IDG, IFA, and DIHK, assess consumer electronics according to industrial design, technical integration, and engineering innovation.
TECNO won gold in two following hardware categories:
The Ultra-Slim Magnetic Modular Award goes to the TECNO Modular Phone
The Ultra-Slim Magnetic Modular Technology Innovation Gold Award was given to the TECNO Modular Phone. The phone, which has a thickness of 4.9 mm, combines a magnetic array with pogo-pin connectors using patented Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology.
What are the Characteristics of the Modular Phone?
- Form Factor: An official IP certification for dust and water resistance on a 4.9 mm portless unibody chassis.
- Module Ecosystem: Supports ten useful snap-on modules that use the host device’s power directly.
- Internal Battery: The core unit has an integrated 3,000–4,000 mAh base battery.
- AI Architecture: Designed to support and offload AI computing on the device without increasing the size of the main chassis.
The phone also won mobile technology awards from publications including CNET, Android Authority, Yanko Design, and others before it was acknowledged at IFA.
Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS: Awarded for Innovation in Miniature Gaming PCs
The Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS (MEGA MINI G1 Pro) won the Miniaturized Gaming PC Technology Innovation Gold Award in the desktop computer category. The mini system, which was co-developed with Tonino Lamborghini, has a vertical footprint of about 6.36 liters.
- Its core hardware is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card (145W TGP, DLSS 4 support, and up to 614 AI TOPS) with an Intel Core i9-13900HK processor.
- It also has thermal management featuring an integrated custom water-cooling system designed to maintain peak operating frequencies when the system is fully loaded.
- Its chassis design features transparent viewing glass with a panoramic arrangement.
- Finally, its I/O and networking contain 15 expansion ports with Wi-Fi 6E, USB4, and OCuLink connectivity.
Other IFA 2026 Highlights
At its IFA exhibition, TECNO displayed other new hardware concepts alongside the prize winners, such as the MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro convertible laptop, the Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone (which features a 0 mm display border), and the TECNO CAMON SLIM with its Mondrian design and matrix screen.
