“She shouldn’t come to my house again” — Lady reacts after woman reunites with jobless husband and asks for food

A woman has expressed frustration after a mother of four who had been visiting her home for food for over seven months returned to seek assistance after reconciling with her estranged husband.

The woman shared the experience online, explaining that the mother had previously told her that her husband abandoned her and their four children about a year ago.

According to her, the woman visited her house again on Thursday to request foodstuffs because her family had allegedly not eaten since morning.

Woman returns with husband after months apart

The lady said she was surprised to discover that the woman was pregnant when she visited, prompting her to ask how it happened.

The woman reportedly explained that her husband had returned, apologised for leaving the family and reunited with them. However, she said he was yet to secure employment.

The lady said she told the woman that she had no foodstuffs at home and asked her not to return to her house for assistance.

She expressed her frustration over the situation, questioning whether she was now expected to provide for the entire household.

The woman said, “So I should be feeding husband, wife, four children and pregnancy, must be nice”

Lady questions extent of her responsibility

She also added humorously, “Me wey born 2 no get sense abi“, apparently questioning whether she had been too generous by continuously helping the family.

The experience has highlighted the challenges that can arise when individuals repeatedly rely on others for basic needs, particularly when the circumstances of a family change.

The woman’s account has sparked a discussion about the limits of helping others and whether people who offer assistance should be expected to continue supporting an entire household.
