Azeez undergoes Brighton medical ahead £15m move

Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have reached an agreement with Millwall for the permanent signing of Nigeria international Femi Azeez in a deal worth up to £15m, with the winger undergoing medicals, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the package comprises a £12.5m transfer fee plus more than £2.5m in performance-related add-ons, with Millwall giving Azeez permission to undergo a medical ahead of the deadline-day move.
The 25-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with Brighton until June 2030, with the Premier League club holding an option to extend his stay for another season.
Brighton had previously seen two bids rejected by Millwall, with the Championship club initially valuing the winger at £15m. Azeez was also understood to be keen on making the move to the Amex Stadium.
The former Reading player enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 35 Championship appearances. His form earned him places in both the Championship Team of the Year and the PFA Team of the Year.
Azeez’s performances also earned him his Nigeria debut under coach Eric Chelle, and he made an immediate impact by scoring twice against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup before providing an assist in the final against Jamaica as the Super Eagles retained the trophy.
Millwall signed Azeez from Reading for around £1m in 2024, meaning his impending move to Brighton would represent a significant profit for the Championship club.
