BUSTED: Highly Classified Intelligence Report Reveals Bola Tinubu Is Not on Vacation, But in Europe to Seek Political Protection From His “Friends” to Ensure His US Drug-Related Documents Are Never Released

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to embark on a three-week vacation in Europe has generated fresh reactions, with a Washington-based government adviser linking the trip to renewed discussions over allegations and US records connected to the Nigerian leader.

Dr Karl Von Batten, a Washington-based government adviser and consultant, raised questions about the timing of Tinubu’s trip in a post on X amid renewed calls for the release of documents being sought through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) case in the United States.

“Amid growing heroin allegations, Tinubu runs to his friends in Europe,” Batten wrote.

Batten also claimed that perceptions about the role of Western governments in African and developing countries were influencing how some people viewed the controversy surrounding Tinubu.

According to him, some people across Africa, the Middle East and South America believe that Western powers sometimes support or protect leaders in order to maintain political and economic influence.

He argued that the continued controversy surrounding the release of US records allegedly connected to Tinubu had contributed to public suspicion and mistrust.

The Presidency had earlier announced that President Tinubu departed Abuja for London as part of his annual leave and would spend three weeks outside Nigeria.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu was expected to return to Nigeria to participate in political and official activities ahead of the 2027 general election.

Batten further alleged that the secrecy surrounding the US records was deepening public mistrust. He suggested that there could be concerns about whether Western governments were protecting Tinubu, although he acknowledged that there was no evidence or certainty that any alleged agreement or arrangement had taken place.

The documents being discussed are linked to a Freedom of Information Act case seeking the release of records held by US law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Opposition figures and critics have repeatedly cited the case while calling for greater transparency regarding the records.

Batten warned that continued secrecy could fuel further speculation and suspicion as Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 presidential election.

He also called for efforts to ensure that the 2027 elections are conducted freely and fairly.

There has been no public confirmation that President Tinubu’s trip to Europe is connected to the allegations or the ongoing FOIA case.
