Taraba Council Chairman Reaffirms Support for Religious…

The Chairman of Bali Local Government Council in Taraba State, Habila Bala Balasa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting religious organisations and partnering with faith leaders to promote peace, security and development in the area.

Balasa gave the assurance in Jalingo on Wednesday in a congratulatory message to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State chapter, and the Christian community as the association celebrates its Golden Jubilee anniversary.
The chairman commended the leadership and members of CAN for five decades of service, particularly its contributions to peacebuilding, unity, moral guidance and peaceful coexistence across Taraba State.
He noted that CAN had played an important role in fostering harmonious relationships among the diverse ethnic and religious groups in Bali Local Government Area and the state.
“Reaching 50 years is a monumental testament to faith, resilience and dedicated service to humanity,” Balasa said.

According to him, CAN’s sustained prayers, advocacy for justice and commitment to community development have contributed to spiritual and social stability in the region.
The chairman stressed the need for continued collaboration between government and religious institutions, saying faith leaders remain important partners in efforts to strengthen peaceful coexistence and accelerate development at the grassroots.
Balasa said his administration would continue to support initiatives that promote peace, unity and development in Bali Local Government Area.
