“I cried so much last night and this morning” — Mr. Macaroni

Nigerian skit maker and actor Mr Macaroni has expressed gratitude to people who supported him financially and emotionally during what he described as some of the hardest moments of his life.

Mr Macaroni shared the message in a Facebook post, revealing that he became emotional after receiving numerous messages from people recounting ways he had helped them in the past.

He said the experience made him reflect on his life and recognise that he had been focusing more on his losses than on being grateful for surviving difficult times.

‘God has given to me is to give it back’

Mr Macaroni said he had always believed that whatever God gave him was meant to be shared with others.

He explained that he was accustomed to giving and rarely asking for help, adding that even when he borrowed money, he would repay it with interest without being asked.

However, he said the situation changed during the past few years when he found himself struggling and seeking help from different people.

“I cried so much last night and this morning. I have seen lots of messages from different people about things I did for them at different times most of which I don’t even remember.”

He added: “The truth is I have always believed in my heart that the only reason God has given to me is to give it back.”

Thanks unnamed person for settling his debts

The actor also expressed appreciation to an unnamed individual who, according to him, repeatedly helped him settle his financial obligations.

Mr Macaroni said the person preferred not to be publicly identified but described the intervention as extraordinary.

“God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again!”

He thanked the individual for restoring his hope at a time when he felt that everything was over.

Appreciates Mr Macaroni & Friends, Don Jazzy and others

Mr Macaroni also thanked his close associates, including Mr Macaroni & Friends, for standing by him during his difficult period.

He specifically mentioned music executive Don Jazzy, saying he had supported him from his university days until the present.

He also acknowledged footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support.

“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!”

‘I am in a better place’

Reflecting on his experiences, Mr Macaroni said he was now in a better place and was learning and engaging in activities that brought him happiness.

He said he had no regrets about helping others, despite the difficulties he later encountered.

According to him, the challenges he faced taught him important lessons and gave him greater clarity.

He concluded by urging people to maintain love and kindness despite the challenges in the world.

“May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world.”
