A Nigerian woman has announced the end of her marriage just weeks after giving birth to her first child.

Nneomah Abraham shared the emotional update in a Facebook post, revealing that her two-year marriage officially ended on August 2, only three weeks after she welcomed her baby.

Posting a photo of herself with her newborn, she reflected on how she had publicly celebrated her wedding in 2024 and felt it was only right to also inform people that the marriage had come to an end.

“On 12th May 2024, when I got married, I came online here to announce that I was finally taken,” she wrote.

“And I am here again to tell you all that the marriage ended on 2nd August.”

Nneomah also addressed possible speculation surrounding the breakup, clarifying that there was no physical violence involved in the marriage.

She concluded her post by reminding others that marriage is not a do-or-die affair, suggesting that sometimes walking away is the best decision when a relationship no longer works.

Her announcement has since sparked conversations on social media, with many users offering words of encouragement and support as she begins a new chapter of her life while caring for her newborn.
