Ikwerre Traditional Rulers Condole Amaechi

The Supreme Council of Ikwerre Government Recognized Traditional Rulers has comdoled the former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi over the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.

The council in a statement on Tuesday signed by the Chairman, Prof. Leslie Eke and Secretary, Eze Ben Ugo, said that the passing of a mother is one of life’s greatest losses, stressing that mothers are the bedrock of every family, “the first teachers of their children, and enduring symbols of unconditional love, sacrifice and wisdom”

According to the forum,although death is an inevitable part of human existence, the departure of a beloved mother leaves a void that words can scarcely fill.

The council acknowledged the exemplary life of the deceased, noting that her virtues, devotion to family, strength of character and enduring legacy will continue to inspire generations.

“Her life remains a testament to the values of humility, compassion, resilience and service.

“At this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, his siblings, children and the entire Amaechi family, praying that Almighty God grants them the strength, courage and divine comfort needed to bear this irreparable loss.

“We also pray that the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, forgives the shortcomings of the departed, grants her peaceful eternal rest, and admits her soul into His heavenly kingdom, where sorrow and pain are no more,” the statement said.

The council further prayed that the memories of the remarkable life of the deceased continue to comfort the family, and her legacy of love, discipline and godly virtues remain a source of strength to all who knew her.

“May the soul of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi rest in perfect peace,” the council prayed.
