“HOD see o…” — Lecturer stunned as only one student shows up for class

A female lecturer has shared her surprise after only one student reportedly showed up for an HND 1 class that was scheduled to hold from 3pm to 5pm.

The lecturer appeared to be disappointed by the poor attendance, as she and her assistant had arrived and were ready to teach the class.

According to her, the class was not meant for just one student, but only one person turned up while the rest of the students were absent.

The unusual situation was captured in a video showing the lecturer inside a largely empty classroom, with rows of vacant seats visible behind her.

Lecturer waits for students who never came

Explaining what happened, the female lecturer said she had been waiting since the scheduled start of the class.

She said, “This is HND one class o. We’re supposed to have this class from 3-5pm, only one student in the class.”

The lecturer further explained that she and her assistant had remained at the venue despite the poor turnout.

She said, “Me and my assistant have been standing here since 3pm no student at all.”

Her statement appeared to draw attention to the fact that virtually the entire class had failed to attend the scheduled lecture.

She also called on the Head of Department to take note of the situation, saying, “HOD see o, no student. Thank you.”

Only one student turns up for class

The lecturer’s experience has sparked reactions online, with many people finding it surprising that only one student would attend a scheduled class involving an entire HND 1 class.

The situation also highlights a familiar challenge in academic environments, where lecturers can prepare for classes and arrive on time, only to meet poorly attended lecture halls.

In this case, however, the striking part was not that the class had only one student, but that only one student out of the entire class bothered to show up.
