Ex-APC Governorship Aspirant Abimbola Olajumoke Remanded

A Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant Abimbola Olajumoke in prison for one month over allegations bordering on defamation, cyberbullying and kidnapping.
Olajumoke was arraigned on Wednesday following a complaint filed by Yemisi Joluwe, Chief Executive Officer of YSJ Agro-Allied Limited, who alleged that statements attributed to the former aspirant were false and had damaged the reputation of her company.
Chief Magistrate Abayin Adeosun had earlier granted Olajumoke bail, but the bail conditions were reportedly not met after she failed to appear at a subsequent court hearing.
Following her failure to appear, the court revoked the bail and ordered her remand in custody. The matter was adjourned until September 15, 2026.

Joluwe told reporters that the alleged statements were designed to undermine the corporate integrity of YSJ Agro-Allied Limited and had also affected members of the company’s workforce.
She, however, said the legal dispute had not disrupted the company’s operations, noting that YSJ Farms remained focused on agriculture, food production and youth empowerment across Ekiti State.
Joluwe also addressed separate allegations concerning the reported kidnapping and killing of a farm worker, saying security agencies were investigating the matter and that the company remained committed to the safety of its employees.
She added that YSJ Farms was continuing to work with security agencies and the Ekiti State Government to protect its farm clusters across the state.
