Big Brother Naija reality star, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.

The development was disclosed by Nigerian movie producer and Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Sunday.

According to Oloketuyi, the reality television star was arrested at her residence in Ajah, Lagos, after allegedly failing to honour three invitations sent to her by the police between May and August 2026.

He wrote:

“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF.

“Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations btw May and August by NPF-NCCC but she decided not to honor the IVs… until she was picked up at her residence early this morning at her Ajah residence.”

Reports indicate that Tacha’s arrest may be connected to allegations she made online involving claims of rape, child molestation and human trafficking.

In a video that circulated online, the BBNaija star accused an unnamed man of allegedly trafficking young people to Europe under the guise of offering them scholarships.

She also reportedly described the man as a rapist and child molester, warning members of the public to be cautious.

The Nigerian Police Force has not, as of the time of filing this report, issued an official statement providing details of the alleged arrest or the specific allegations against Tacha.

The development has continued to generate reactions on social media, with Nigerians awaiting further clarification from the police and the reality star.

Tacha, who rose to prominence after participating in the Big Brother Naija reality show, has remained one of the country’s most popular and outspoken reality television personalities.
