Lady breaks down in tears after alleging an inDrive driver assaulted her over ₦600 fare dispute

A Nigerian lady has shared an emotional account of her alleged ordeal with an inDrive driver, claiming she was assaulted and humiliated during a disagreement over a ₦600 balance after the driver reportedly refused to drop her at her exact destination.
According to the visibly upset woman, she booked an inDrive ride from Magic Land to Yusuf Damdada Crescent. She explained that the driver stopped midway inside the crescent, insisting that his map had reached the destination and asked her to walk the remaining distance to her house.
Recounting the incident in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she said:
“He got to the crescent and didn’t even ask where my house was. He just said his map stopped him there. I told him the whole place is the crescent and asked him to take me to my house. He refused and told me to come down and walk because it wasn’t far.”
The lady alleged that the driver locked her inside the vehicle before stepping out to demand payment.
She claimed that after waiting for about 20 minutes, the driver forcefully pulled her out of the car when she insisted she would deduct ₦600 from the ₦6,100 fare to cover the cost of getting home herself.
She further alleged that the driver slapped her, dragged her bag and harassed her in public. According to her, some men who gathered at the scene sided with the driver instead of defending her, insisting that she should pay the full fare.
The lady revealed that she has reported the incident to inDrive but expressed disappointment with the company’s response, claiming it only apologised without taking immediate action.
