JUST IN: Kogi-West APC backs Tinubu, Ododo for second term

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi West Senatorial District has unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office, declaring that there is “no vacancy” in both Aso Rock and Lugard House.
The group equally issued a stern warning to political appointees from the zone, declaring that anyone found engaging in anti-party activities could lose their appointment.
The resolution was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday in Kabba.
The meeting was convened by the immediate past Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Funsho Olumoko, alongside the Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd).
At the gathering, party leaders stressed that the APC would no longer tolerate acts of disloyalty, especially from individuals holding political appointments under APC-led governments.
They maintained that beneficiaries of government appointments must remain loyal to the party that allowed them to serve.
The stakeholders resolved that the names of political appointees from Kogi West found participating in anti-party activities would be compiled and forwarded to the appropriate authorities for immediate removal from office.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Commander Omodara stated that government appointments are privileges secured through the APC and should not be used to advance interests that undermine the ruling party or its administration.
Stakeholders urged APC members across the five local government areas of Okunland to remain united, strengthen grassroots mobilization, and work collectively toward securing decisive victories for the party in future elections.
They equally passed a vote of confidence in the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, commending their leadership and expressing confidence that continuity would further accelerate development at both the federal and state levels.
