The government said in a statement that the repair work would involve asphalt resurfacing and require partial closures of sections of the bridge to allow the work to proceed while maintaining access for motorists.
The asphalt works are scheduled to begin at night on Friday, October 16, and continue throughout Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, during the day and at night.

To minimise traffic disruption, sections of the bridge’s inbound and outbound lanes will be partially closed one at a time, with one lane kept open to allow motorists to reach their destinations.
“Motorists are urged to plan their movement and make use of alternative routes to connect their desired destinations for the duration of the repairs,” the statement said.
