Kogi horror: Policeman murders girlfriend in cold blood, commits suicide
There was tragedy in Kogi State on Friday, after a policeman allegedly shot his girlfriend dead before ending his own life.
The police corporal was attached to the Ajaokuta Division of the Kogi State Police Command.
The incident reportedly occurred around 9 pm on the said day, but the circumstances surrounding the deaths have not been ascertained at the time of filing this report.
According to reports, the policeman shot his girlfriend at close range before turning the gun on himself.
The bodies of the two have been deposited at the mortuary while an investigation has commenced.
Efforts to reach the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Saliu Afusat, were unsuccessful as she did not answer or take calls put across to her.
