Boko Haram Reportedly Destroys Half of Graha Community as Neighbouring Adamawa Villages Brace for Possible Further Attacks

SECURITY ALERT: Hong LGA, Adamawa State, Nigeria | October 18, 2026
Local sources and officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Hong LGA Chapter, report that Boko Haram destroyed half of the Graha Christian community during a night attack in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The reported destruction has intensified fears among residents of neighbouring villages already on alert for possible further assaults.
Communities including Guyaku, Telabala, Zaranga, and Dzangola have faced growing security concerns following earlier reports of suspected insurgents moving on motorbikes in the region. Claims of planned attacks on these villages have not yet been independently verified.
Reverend Mannaseh, a local church leader, told TruthNigeria that Christians in the area are “stranded without rescue,” adding that destruction was ongoing from last night into this morning.
CHRISTIANS URGED TO REMAIN VIGILANT
Church leaders across Hong LGA are urging Christians to exercise heightened vigilance during worship services and religious gatherings. Congregations should:
- Remain alert and follow verified security guidance.
- Avoid unnecessary travel through high‑risk or exposed areas.
- Report credible threats promptly to security agencies through safe channels.
- Refrain from spreading unverified information that may cause panic.
- Keep essential supplies ready, including medicines, identification documents, emergency contacts, and basic provisions in case rapid evacuation becomes necessary.
