Bandits attack Zamfara community, kill seven residents, abduct several others
Bandits have attacked Kauran Namoda town in Zamfara State, killing seven residents and abducting several others.
The attack reportedly occurred on Friday night, leaving families mourning the deceased and raising concerns over the fate of those abducted.
Bakatsine, a conflict reporter covering northwestern Nigeria, disclosed the incident in a post on X on Saturday.
A photograph shared alongside the report showed a funeral prayer for the deceased victims.
The latest attack has renewed concerns over the persistent insecurity in Zamfara State, where residents continue to face killings and abductions by armed bandits.
DAILY POST reports that the number of people abducted and whether security agencies have launched a rescue operation, were not immediately available.
