Tinubu Celebrates First Lady, Oluremi at 66, Says ‘I Would Choose Same Road That Led Me to You’

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante.”

In a birthday message issued on Sunday, Tinubu praised the First Lady for standing by him through difficult periods and offering counsel throughout their years together.

He said, “If life returned me to the beginning, I would choose the same road that led me to you. Through every mile, my heart has always remained at home with you.”

The President also acknowledged Oluremi’s role in supporting their family, saying their children and grandchildren had grown under “the shelter of your prayers” and carried her values of faith and kindness.

He described her as a compassionate advocate whose work had touched the lives of young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers.

Tinubu said her humanitarian efforts had extended from the New Era Foundation during their years in Lagos to the Renewed Hope Initiative, which she currently leads.

“From the New Era Foundation during our years in the saddle in Lagos to the Renewed Hope Initiative today, your care has reached many young boys and girls, widows, elderly citizens, and women farmers across the country,” he said.

He also commended her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other diseases, noting that her compassion transcended ethnic, regional and religious boundaries.

“Those affected by tuberculosis or any disease at all have found in you a compassionate advocate and a determined champion,” the President said.

Reflecting on their marriage, Tinubu said the couple had shared difficult decisions, sacrifices, laughter and prayers throughout their journey.

He added, “I thank you for the life we have built and the love that has held it together.”

The President prayed for his wife to enjoy many more years in good health and happiness.

“Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi. I pray that God Almighty will grant you many more years in good health and joy,” he said.
