2027: “Alex Otti can win second term without much campaign” – Apostle Suleman declares

Apostle Johnson Suleman has praised Abia State Governor Alex Otti, describing him as proof that good governance is possible in Nigeria.
The cleric made the remark during a Sunday sermon while highlighting Otti’s administration and the changes he believes the governor has brought to Abia State.
Suleman stated that Otti’s performance could earn him a second term in office without the need for extensive campaigning, urging Nigerians to look at what the governor is doing in the state.
In his words, he said:
“Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, is proof that good governance is possible. He can easily win a second term without much campaigning. Look at what the man is doing in Abia State. This is an example that anyone in politics who is not making an impact is doing so by deliberate choice.”
Suleman’s comment comes as Otti continues his first term as governor after winning the 2023 Abia State governorship election on the platform of the Labour Party.
Otti was sworn into office on May 29, 2023, alongside his deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, and has since focused his administration on infrastructure, healthcare, education and other areas of governance.
Suleman’s remarks have drawn attention because of his positive assessment of Otti’s leadership and his suggestion that politicians who fail to make a visible impact in office may be doing so deliberately.
The cleric’s statement also adds to the growing public discussion around Otti’s administration and its performance in Abia State ahead of 2027 general elections.
