Terra Industries has secured $2 million in contracts to provide security and surveillance systems for lithium mining operations in Nigeria, just one week after launching its new commercial division.
The company disclosed the development in a post on its official website, saying the contracts cover two mining companies operating in Nigeria’s lithium mining sector.
Under the agreements, Terra Industries will deploy a fleet of 20 sentry towers and four Iroko drones across the mining sites to provide surveillance, real-time threat detection and response capabilities.
The systems will operate on ArtemisOS, Terra’s autonomous command and control platform designed to coordinate security operations across multiple assets.
“Terra Industries has closed $2 million in contracts to protect lithium mining operations in Nigeria, one week after launching its new commercial division,” the company said.
According to Terra, the deployment will initially cover the two mining companies, with further expansion planned as the operators bring additional sites into production.
The company said the contracts highlight growing demand for advanced security systems around critical mineral operations, particularly in areas where conventional security coverage is limited.
“Expansion is planned as each operator brings additional sites online,” Terra said.
The company explained that mining, oil and power operators across Africa often manage critical infrastructure in locations where security coverage is thin and emergency response times can be long.
“Mining, oil and power operators across Africa run critical assets in places where security coverage is thin and response times are long,” the company said.
Terra added that its commercial division was established to provide surveillance and deterrence systems for critical infrastructure operators, using the same autonomous technology stack it supplies to defence customers.

“Terra’s commercial division builds surveillance and deterrence systems for those sites using the same autonomous stack the company supplies to defense customers,” it said.
The company said its systems are designed to provide operators with greater visibility over their assets while improving their ability to identify and respond to potential security threats in real time.
Terra Industries describes itself as a multi-domain systems and data intelligence company focused on developing defence and security technologies for Africa and the Global South.
The company serves critical sectors including energy, mineral resources, urban infrastructure, maritime assets, border security and counterterrorism operations.
Founded in 2024, Terra develops integrated air, land and maritime systems powered by ArtemisOS, its unified software platform for large-scale security operations.
According to the company, its mission is “to give the Global South the technological edge needed to secure its future.”
Terra Industries said it works with governments, infrastructure operators and strategic partners across Africa and internationally.
