Troops arrest two suspected kidnappers in Plateau
Two suspected kidnappers have been apprehended by troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, OPEP, during a search-and-rescue operation around the Dong general area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, in his post on X on Thursday, quoted security sources that the suspects, identified as Cuthbert Tapgun and Sani Alhassan, were arrested at about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, 2026.
He explained that the arrests were made during a search-and-rescue operation conducted by troops within the sector’s Area of Responsibility.
According to him, “The two suspects are currently in custody and undergoing investigation to establish their alleged involvement in kidnapping activities and identify possible accomplices.”
Makama stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by troops of Operation Enduring Peace to combat kidnapping, dismantle criminal networks, and improve security across Plateau State.
