The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul’azeez Yari Abubakar, says the party’s 2027 campaign will be issue-based and centred on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

 

Yari stated this in Gusau, Zamfara State, after a closed-door meeting with Governor Dauda Lawal, traditional rulers and other APC chieftains.

 

He said the campaign would focus on presenting the administration’s accomplishments to Nigerians rather than attacking individuals or opposition parties.

 

Yari described Nigeria as a country blessed with citizens committed to its development and praised President Tinubu as a leader dedicated to national progress.

 

The former Zamfara governor also sought the blessings and support of traditional rulers for President Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

 

Governor Dauda Lawal said the meeting with traditional rulers was organised to formally present Yari, a son of Zamfara, following his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

 

He said the visit was also aimed at securing royal blessings, support, unity and peaceful conduct before, during and after the elections.

 

Lawal assured the campaign council that President Tinubu would receive 100 per cent support from the people of Zamfara State in the 2027 presidential election.
