Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has called on opposition political parties to work together ahead of the 2027 general election, saying such collaboration is necessary to achieve the goal of building a country that works for all Nigerians.
Makinde made the call on Monday while speaking on the commissioning of his campaign office in Abuja, describing the event as another step towards advancing the “Reset Nigeria Agenda.”
The governor, who expressed appreciation to those who attended the event, particularly Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said the opposition must unite in the 2027 election.

“Today’s commissioning of our campaign office in Abuja is another step towards our goal to build a country that works for every Nigerian under the Reset Nigeria Agenda,” Makinde said in a statement posted on his X handle.
He added: “Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who was a part of the event including my brother, HE Peter Obi.”
Makinde further said, “As I said in my remarks, the opposition must work together in the forthcoming 2027 election.”
