“I gave Nimmy the land for free” — Late actress’ father denies mother’s allegations, accuses her of taking daughter’s properties

The father of late Nollywood actress and influencer Nimmy Ferrari has responded to allegations made by her mother, who recently accused him of failing to support their daughter and attempting to take over or sell the house where she was buried.

In a video shared on social media, Nimmy’s father denied being responsible for his daughter’s death and described claims made by her mother as lies.

He also alleged that Nimmy’s properties, including her car and belongings, had been removed from the house following her death.

The bereaved father claimed he financed the construction of his own house to completion without Nimmy’s mother knowing about it.

According to him, Nimmy later visited him after he completed the house and expressed an interest in building her own property in the same area.

He said he gave his daughter the land on which she built her house without collecting any money from her.

He further claimed that Nimmy had instructed him not to tell her mother about the property because she had sold the first piece of land she purchased and subsequently built her house elsewhere.

The disagreement between Nimmy’s parents also reportedly extended to arrangements following her death.

Her father said the only thing he objected to was Nimmy’s mother preparing akara for a gathering of relatives after the burial, arguing that bottled water and soft drinks would have been more appropriate.

He also accused Nimmy’s mother of taking her daughter’s belongings shortly after her death, questioning what he would need her car for.

The father further claimed that he had opened a bank account for Nimmy but did not have access to it. He alleged that money had been withdrawn from the account since her death, leaving a balance of about ₦9,000.

According to him, the withdrawals were allegedly made while Nimmy was still at the hospital.

He claimed that his former partner’s husband, whom he identified as Segun, confronted him and said he was responsible for ordering the withdrawals.

Nimmy’s father also addressed claims surrounding her alleged fibroid surgery, saying his daughter only informed him about the procedure when they were already at the hospital.

The family dispute comes amid competing allegations from Nimmy’s parents following the actress’ death, with both sides giving different accounts of events surrounding her property, medical treatment and burial. The allegations made by either parent have not been independently established.
