Firm launches business credibility report

Global business data and analytics firm, Dun & Bradstreet South Asia, Middle East & Africa, has launched a Business Credibility Report designed to help companies verify their credentials and enable lenders and commercial partners to better assess potential business risks.

The firm disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday, saying the new verification solution was introduced amid growing demand for reliable business information as lenders and companies tighten due diligence before extending credit or entering commercial relationships.

According to the company, the Business Credibility Report provides an independent assessment of a company’s business profile using Dun & Bradstreet’s data and verification capabilities.

It said the solution would allow businesses to demonstrate their credibility to lenders, suppliers, investors and potential commercial partners, while providing those stakeholders with verified information to support their decisions.

A senior executive at Dun & Bradstreet South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Sameer Anees, said the product was developed to help companies strengthen their credentials at a time when organisations were paying greater attention to business risks.

“The Business Credibility Report, endorsed by Dun & Bradstreet SAME, is an indispensable tool in an organisation’s armoury, particularly for firms seeking to enhance their credentials in an increasingly value-driven business environment,” Anees said.

The firm explained that the report was available in five formats, with each providing verified information that external stakeholders could use when assessing a business.

Depending on the version selected, it said the report could also contain macroeconomic, industry and operational information, allowing users to assess a company beyond its basic corporate details.

Dun & Bradstreet said the product was intended to make corporate reputation, which could be difficult to quantify, more tangible by providing independently verified information that could support credit and other commercial decisions.

The company noted that access to verified information had become increasingly important as businesses sought to reduce their exposure to risks when dealing with customers, suppliers and other counterparties.

For companies seeking financing or new commercial relationships, the report could also provide independently verified credentials that may be presented to prospective lenders and business partners.

Dun & Bradstreet said the launch formed part of its broader drive to help businesses establish trusted commercial relationships through verified business information and data-driven insights across South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
